May...Legion room donated as a ladies' rest room for the Firemen's Covention. June...Memorial Day Speaker returned fee as a donation to Jr. Baseball team.  November...Took the initiative in forming a central commitee to handle calls for charity, the civic club, Farm Bureau, and Miltona Grange, Urban Entertainers, PTA, and Sunday schools participating.  Received an invitation to next meeting of Tippecanoe City post.  Held a stag party for members and eligible veterans.  December...Made a donation to the Auxiliary for gifts at the Solders' home.

1932
February...Auxiliary served chicken dinner with all the trimmings before the business meeting.  Made a donation to O.S.S.O. home.  September...Report showed success of Jr baseball.  November...Presented 5x8 flag to school.
1933
February...Wrote congressman protesting pension cut.  March...Due to bank situation it was decided to serve coffee and doughnuts at a county meeting held here.  Wrote congressman suggesting he consider an experienced man for postmaster in West Milton.  December...Sent a wreath, with the Auxiliary co-operating, to the funeral of Mrs. Poince.
1934
January...Received 10 Krag rifles, Modle 1898 from Springfield Armory. March...Loaned baseball equiptment to high school.
1935
March...Loaned baseball equiptment to Tippecanoe City post.  Post signed petition to federalize local Building and Loan Association.
1936
December...Opened hall on Saturday nights for the use of a ladies rest room.  Paid stricken member's dues for 1937.
1937
May...Moved from hall over dickey's Cleaners to room over Herr's restaurant.
1938
January...Organized the Memorial Association to receive funds each year from the county Memorial Day services ($50.00)  June...Post was invited to participate in the cornerstone laying at the high school which took place on June 21, 1938. October...Bid on a school house across the river as a possible future Legion home.
1939
February...Subscribed to the American Legion magazine and paper for the village library.  March...Purchased flag for the new high school building and contacted Dept.  Commander Jensen to present it at the dedication ceremony.  November...Moved from room over Herr's restaurant to our present hall over the Post Office.  Charles crew presented plans for a Legion home, with bill of material, and the Auxiliary was invited to the next meeting to discuss building programs.
1940
February...Turned down offer of the third floorof the K.P hall.  Committee appointed to secure a building lot.  Building finance committee was appointed.
1941
February...Post voted to pay exspences for delegates to the defence programmeeting in Columbus.
1942
March...Received Certificate of Meterious Service from dept. HQ. for passing the previous four year membership average.  date was March 9, 1942.
1943
September...Post erected an Honor Roll of persons who resided in Union Township when entering service.  359 names were inserted.  Dues were raised from $3.50 to $5.00.  October... An Initation Team was established. November...Made a donation to the Community War Chest.  December...offered post's services in a war bond drive.
1944
March...Donated $10.00 to the Red Cross. May...Sponsored Mills Brothers Circus.  Made $24.00 on the project.  Post was invited to the dedication of the honor roll at Englewood.  September...Voted to attend church in a body for the VD Day celebration.
1945
February...Committee established to pay respects to casualtie families.  March...Bought gold stars to present to next of kin. April...Redecorated honor roll here.   Group from the post attended a meeting in Dayton on the GI Bill of Rights, visited Soldiers' Home on the return trip.  May...Regular meeting was visited by the district Commander.  Committee appointed to find a site and the cost of a Legion home.  July...Donation of $60.00 was received from a citizen of West Milton for shrubbery in front of honor roll.  September...Paid adjutant's dues and $.10 per member for his year's work.  December...A  motion was passed to send flowers to the immediate family in the event of a death of any member.
